Darin is experienced in the preparation, prosecution, and enforcement of U.S. and international patents relating to computer software and hardware, electromechanical systems, and mechanical technologies. These wide-ranging technologies include financial management systems, payment processing and fraud detection systems, mobile device technology, medical devices, biosensors, micro-fluidics, electric motors, industrial energy control systems, imaging systems, and advanced manufacturing systems.

Darin works closely with inventors, in-house counsel, and patent examiners to assist them through the various phases of product design and development to ensure suitable patent protection and strategic consistency. He provides advice on patentability, validity, and patent infringement issues, including preparing non-infringement and invalidity opinions, and patentability, due diligence, and patent landscape analyses.
