Hovey Williams Sponsors and Participates in Johnson County Bar Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournamnent

Hovey Williams September 11, 2023

We proudly continued our tradition of sponsoring and participating in Johnson County Bar Foundation’s (JCBF) Annual Golf Tournament on September 8 at St. Andrews Golf Club in Overland Park, Kansas. The annual JCBF Foundation golf tournament is one of the year’s can’t miss social and fundraising events. The tournament offers all members of the legal community  —  golfers and non-golfers  —  the opportunity to spend a day on the beautiful St. Andrews Golf Club course enjoying each other’s company. Court staff, attorneys, judges and local businesses all gather for a day of excellent food, drinks and entertainment, while raising money for local charities. Last year’s tournament raised over $12,000 for the Foundation’s charity partners in the community.

Team Hovey’s foursome included Attorneys: Darin McCollumStephen Huggins and Andrew Colombo.
Serving as greeters at hole #1 were Kenzie Lawrence, our newest Associate and our Partner, Cheryl Burbach. They set up a shade tent and welcomed golfers and handed out snacks and drinks to the 144 participants. Our greeters challenged players with a fun game and an opportunity to win Hovey prizes. Players tried to chip an oversized marshmallow in a hoop with one of their golf clubs. It was a LOT harder that it looked. A few did manage to chip the marshmallow inside the hoop and win some Hovey swag!

It was a great day on the links and our team shot 4 under par. We had awesome weather, a fun round of golf at St. Andrews Golf Club, and lots of camaraderie, all while raising money for local charities.
